On Sunday, September 14, 2025, Smart SwimSuits brought something truly different to the heart of New York. With The People’s Collection, the brand presented not only new designs in award-winning sustainable fabrics, but also a powerful message about inclusivity, humanity & dreams fulfilled.

The company has earned international awards, features in ELLE, VOGUE, Tatler & Cosmopolitan, & Ecosapiens verification—a rigorous audit proving measurable ecological standards. From recyclable fabrics to biodegradable packaging, the brand’s philosophy, “more eco = less ego,” drives every choice.

The new collection at NYFW introduced striking animal-inspired prints & silhouettes, crafted with patented tan-through fabrics that act as SPF 35 protection. Each suit helps reduce the need for chemical sunscreens that damage reefs, while giving wearers a safe, even tan. Every piece exemplified what Smart SwimSuits stands for: products that protect skin, respect the planet & inspire confidence.

The true innovation was not just in the fabric or design—it was in the casting. For this show, Smart SwimSuits did something unprecedented: instead of using professional models on the runway, 30 everyday individuals walked the runway.

  • A nonprofit founder teaching martial arts to seniors while traveling between nursing homes.

  • A college student studying game art.

  • Miss Hawaii 2024.

  • Participants from Survivor & Squid Game.

  • Even a rocket scientist.

These were not models trained in perfect runway walks. Instead, they carried something far more powerful: light, courage & passion. Their presence turned the runway into a stage of humanity. Dreams were fulfilled, barriers were broken & the spotlight revealed not just garments, but souls.
