Sasha Royce has always been passionate about protecting the planet. Before launching Smart SwimSuits, she founded Organo Plastica, an innovation project dedicated to creating biodegradable plastic alternatives to reduce global waste. When the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted production & partnerships, Sasha began rethinking how she could continue contributing to environmental protection.

While conducting research, she learned about microplastics in our oceans & their devastating impact on coral reefs. That discovery became a turning point for Sasha — inspiring her to create products that would help people enjoy the sun while reducing sunscreen pollution in the oceans.

In 2020, Sasha launched Smart SwimSuits, combining sustainability, technology & design. She collaborated with the European brand RoDaSoleil, merging elegant aesthetics with Smart SwimSuits’ tan-through, SPF35 sun-filtering fabric technology. Today, the brand continues to evolve into a marketplace for sustainable swimwear, bringing together creators & partners who share the same vision of ocean-friendly innovation.

From her first runway moments at Miami Swim Week, Sasha has stayed true to one guiding principle: innovation with integrity. Each piece is crafted for breathability, quick-dry performance, SPF-equivalent protection (~35) & a flattering sculpted fit.

Smart SwimSuits stands for more than innovation. It’s a movement that unites designers, scientists & ocean lovers in one mission: to protect what we love, beautifully.

From packaging to fabrics, sustainability guides everything we do. We partner with manufacturers who share our values, working with recycled fibers, eco-friendly yarns, and responsible production methods.
